Description
Organic Rooibos Tea – Loose Leaf “Red Bush” Tea from South Africa
Rooibos is also known as Red Bush and is a naturally sweet, caffeine free beverage. Native to the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa, it requires the local climate in order to thrive as it has not been successfully cultivated anywhere else in the world. It has been used locally for centuries by the Khoisan people as a beverage as well as for topical treatments especially for skin ailments. Its leaves turn red rather than green when oxidized (exposed to oxygen).
It is naturally high in calcium, manganese and alpha hydroxy. Good for teeth and bones, it can also be applied topically to clear up any skin irritations. I find that a little bit of Rooibos adds a smoky depth and smooth body to my Hannah’s Special Blend. It is also enjoyable in place of tea for those who prefer a caffeine free beverage.

Patti Johnson –
I have fallen in love with Roobios tea! I really love the flavor (rich, smoky & smooth)! And the color is just gorgeous when you pour it into your teacup! Plus, it’s super healthy for you so you gotta lurve that! I will definitely order this again! Highly recommend. I also like to mix this with other teas I have to create my own "special blend." 🙂 I haven’t used this for any kombucha yet but plan to do so in the future. 🙂
