Continuous Brew Secret #1 It’s all about maintaining temperature

Whether you decide to go with batch brew, Continuous Brew, or both (like me!), young brewing Kombucha benefits from staying as close to 78-80 degrees as possible. This prevents mold and allows the Kombucha to ferment to full power and at a consistent rate.

For large Continuous Brew vessels such as our 2.5 gallon brewers, a Heating Strip or Year Round Heating System is highly recommended.

New brewers in cooler climates can dial up the power on the Year Round System while those in warmer climates may opt for the essential strip.

Both heating options were designed specifically for Kombucha by me. (and an engineer of course!)

Why are these heating solutions so exciting? Mostly because they’re incredibly energy efficient, made from award winning materials only available since 2010, and save the homebrewer lots of time and money. Learn more about the features here.

Then listen to Holly Lewis’ lovely poem about her Year Round Heating System. Can you believe how awesome this is? She rocks! 🙂

If you’ve been following along closely, you’re starting to see how Kombucha can become a simple part of a daily routine, especially if most of the work can be taken out of it with Continuous Brewing.

Tomorrow we’ll cover the MOST COMMON MISTAKES made by new brewers, not to mention a few little tricks I keep tucked up my sleeve.
